Brookstone lost the ballgame after losing the lead in the seventh inning Friday, as Troup grabbed a 5-3 victory in seven innings. Matt Jones had a strong game at the plate for Brookstone. Jones went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.Jacob Ozley recorded the win for Troup. He allowed one run over one inning. The Troup pitcher struck out none, walked none and surrendered four hits. The game was scoreless until Troup broke the ice with one run in the sixth. Troup scored on a groundout by #13. After a quick strike from Troup, Brookstone responded with two runs in the sixth. Brookstone scored on an error and an RBI double by Tim Kennedy. The lead stayed with Troup after the seventh, when it scored four runs on two doubles.
