He singled in the third inning.Eli Ussery pitched lights out for Brookstone Varsity Cougars. Manchester managed just two hits off of Ussery, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out three during his four innings of work. Brookstone Varsity Cougars stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring one run on a sacrifice fly by Max Williams.
Brookstone Varsity Cougars added six more runs in the bottom of the second. Keith Pridgen kicked things off with a triple, scoring Andrew Hamric. One run in the top of the seventh helped Manchester close its deficit to 7-2. A groundout by Clements triggered Manchester's comeback. The game went final when Evans flew out.
