Cougars Beat Dooly Co. 15-0 & 16-1

Brookstone Varsity Cougars second-inning burst enough to top Dooly County, 16-1

Brookstone Varsity Cougars jumped out to an early lead on Dooly County and captured a 16-1 victory on Wednesday at Brookstone. The Cougars won game one of the double header 15-0.
With 13 runs in the first three innings, Brookstone Varsity Cougars left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
A sacrifice fly by Drew Lingo in the first inning and an RBI single by Jarrod Little, a walk by Drew Webb, an RBI single by Tim Kennedy, a two-run double by Lingo, an error, a two-run error, and a two-run double by Eli Ussery during the second inning fueled Brookstone Varsity Cougars' offense early.
Keith Pridgen racked up three RBIs on three hits for Brookstone Varsity Cougars.
Wylly Killorin kept contact to a minimum, striking out seven Dooly County batters. Wylly Killorin allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks over four innings.
Brookstone Varsity Cougars answered Dooly County's top inning with three runs of its own in the fourth. Brookstone Varsity Cougars scored on an RBI double by Webb, a hit by pitch, and an RBI single by Pridgen.
