Brookstone Varsity Cougars cruises past Schley County, 10-2


Schley County didn't have a chance on Monday, as Brookstone Varsity Cougars won in blowout fashion, 10-2 in seven innings at Brookstone.
Brookstone Varsity Cougars scored five runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Max Williams, a two-run single by Hunter Green, and a two-run single by Parker James.
Drew Lingo had two extra-base hits for Brookstone Varsity Cougars. He doubled in the third and sixth innings.
Schley County couldn't get anything going so long as James was on the hill. Schley County managed just two hits off of the Brookstone Varsity Cougars' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out four during his six innings of work.
Parker James was the winning pitcher. James pitched 6 innings, allowing only 2 hits, and 1 earned run. James only allowed 2 base on balls and he added 4 strikeouts to give the Cougars a big lead. James was 1 for 3 at the plate batting in 2 RBIs. Coleman Killorin was behind the plate the entire game to secure the victory over the undefeated region opponent.
Jarrod Little finished the game for the Brookstone Varsity Cougars. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered one hit.
The game's last lead went to Brookstone Varsity Cougars thanks to a third inning rally that saw four runs cross the plate on a two-run double by Cannon Jarrell and two singles.
