Shaw 7 VS Brookstone 5

Andrew Hamric's effort not enough inBrookstone Cougars Varsity's 7-5 loss

Andrew Hamric both hit and pitched well for Brookstone Cougars Varsity, but it wasn't enough as Brookstone Cougars Varsity fell to Shaw 7-5 on Wednesday.
Andrew racked up two RBIs on one hit for Brookstone Cougars Varsity. He homered in the third inning.
Andrew looked sharp on the bump. Hamric gave up just one hit, allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.
Even though Isaiah Arnold allowed five runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory. Isaiah struck out seven, walked four and gave up 11 hits.
Shaw was sparked by Mitchell Gaddis and Jacorrey Crowell, who teamed up for two hits and three RBIs.
In the top of the first, Shaw grabbed the early lead, 1-0.
Shaw scored four runs in the second, due in large part to a two-run blast off the bat of Jacorrey, bringing home Ethan Lakeman.
The lead stayed with Shaw after the fourth, when it scored one run on a fielder's choice.
