Brookstone tops Hawkinsville in back-and-forth affair, 6-5
Brookstone Cougars Varsity and Hawkinsville passed the lead back and forth five times on Saturday, but in the end Brookstone Cougars Varsity pulled out a 6-5 win in seven innings over Hawkinsville.
Brookstone Cougars Varsity took the lead in the fifth inning and held on for the victory. Brookstone Cougars Varsity went up for good on an RBI single by Guy Peek off Trent Dollar, scoring Drew Webb.
James Sherrer reached base two times in the game for Brookstone Cougars Varsity. He scored one run and had one RBI. He tripled in the second inning.
