Cougars victory over Jordan, 15-16

Early lead gives Brookstone Cougars Varsity easy victory over Jordan, 15-6

Brookstone Cougars Varsity shut the door early on Jordan, capturing a 15-6 victory on Saturday.
With eight runs in the first three innings, Brookstone Cougars Varsity left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
An RBI triple by Andrew Hamric in the first inning and an RBI single by Eliot Turner, an RBI single by Matt Jones, a two-run triple by Keith Pridgen, an RBI double by Drew Webb, and an RBI single by Guy Peek during the second inning fueled Brookstone Cougars Varsity's offense early.
Keith did his best to jumpstart the offense for Brookstone Cougars Varsity, reaching base five times. He scored three runs and had two RBIs.
Even though Guy allowed six runs over 3 2/3 innings he still recorded the victory. Guy struck out three, walked none and gave up eight hits.
Austin Hamilton couldn't get it done on the hill for Jordan, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.
Brookstone Cougars Varsity pushed across two runs in both the fourth inning and the sixth. In the fourth, Brookstone Cougars Varsity scored on a two-run single by Eliot, scoring Preston Campbell and Culver Norred.
Five Jordan runs crossed the plate in the bottom half of the fourth, making the score 10-6. An RBI single by Austin Sanders, an RBI single by Zack Tice, an RBI single by Cj White, and a two-run double by Austin Baker gave Jordan life. Drew ended the inning by getting Chance McKinnon to ground out.
