Brookstone Clinches a 1-0 Win Over Miller County

Pitching picks up Brookstone 's offense in 1-0 victory over Miller County

Culver Norred pitched seven strong innings to carry Brookstone to a 1-0 win over Miller County in seven innings on Saturday's game one at Golden Park. 
Brookstone's defense held Miller County without a run while Norred was on the rubber. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out four. 
Drew Webb was hot from the plate for Brookstone . Webb went 2-3. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the sixth inning. Andrew Hamric and Hunter Green were both 1 for 3 at the plate with singles. 
The seventh inning saw Brookstone score its only run of the day.  Preston Campbell led off the inning with a double to left field. Campbell advanced to third base on a sacrifice bunt by the DH Jarrod Little. Parker James walked off of five pitches to put runners on the corners. Campbell scored on an RBI double by Mitchell Cox to left center to clinch a 1-0 over Miller County. 
Brookstone will play Providence Christian at 4pm today. The Cougars record is 3-0.
