Drew Webbknocked in three runs, sparking Brookstone to an 8-4 victory in seven innings over Hawkinsville on Friday.
He tripled in the first inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Jarrod Little had an impressive outing against Hawkinsville's lineup. Hawkinsville managed just two hits off of Little, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out six during his five innings of work.
Trent Dollar was charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out six.
Brookstone never trailed after scoring one run in the first on an RBI triple by Webb.
Brookstone pushed across one run in both the fourth inning and the seventh. In the fourth, Brookstone scored on an RBI single by Daniel Amos, scoringGuy Peek.
Brookstone built upon its lead with five runs in the sixth. A bases loaded walk scored Banks Massey to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Hunter Green's single, bringing home Peek and Preston Campbell.
After pushing across four runs in the bottom of the seventh, Hawkinsville faced just a 8-4 deficit. An error and a three-run home run by Royce Owenssparked Hawkinsville's rally. Brookstone 's Matt Jones induced a Jonathan McDaniel strike out to close things out.
