Taylor County falls 8-0 at the hands of Brookstone
Brookstone beat Taylor County on Tuesday 8-0 in seven innings.
Preston Campbell racked up three RBIs on two hits for Brookstone . He doubled in the second inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Culver Norred brought the heat against Taylor County during his outing. Taylor County managed just one hit off of the Brookstone 's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his six innings of work.
James Whiteman was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out two.
Brookstone never trailed after scoring one run in the second on a sacrifice fly by Mitchell Cox.
Brookstone brought home two runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the fourth. In the third, Brookstone scored on an RBI single by Andrew Hamric, scoring Drew Webb.
Brookstone added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. A double by Webb ignited the offense,, bringing home Hunter Green. That was followed up by Hamric's single, plating Webb.
