Brookstone defeats Paideia after late game two-run home run, 5-4

Brookstone and Paideia volleyed the lead five times on Saturday, but Brookstone came out on top for a 5-4 win on Saturday.

Brookstone finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. Brookstone went up for good on a two-run home run by Drew Webb off J Mellen, bringing home Matt Jones.
Brookstone held off Paideia, as Paideia was unable to overcome a two-run fourth inning deficit.
Paideia scored on a sacrifice fly by D Goodwin in the fifth inning and an RBI single by Goodwin in the seventh inning. Unfortunately, Paideia wasn't able to take the lead back.
Culver Norred got the win for Brookstone . He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered 11 hits.
Brookstone was sparked by Jones and Webb, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
J Mellen ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
Brookstone quickly matched Paideia's strong inning with a one-run inning of its own in the second. Brookstone scored on an RBI double by Hunter Green.
