Brookstone makes the most of 3 hits in 1-0 victory over Schley County
Both Brookstone and Schley County put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was Brookstone that was able to take advantage, pulling out a 1-0 win at CSU.
Schley County out-hit Brookstone four to three, but Schley County stranded five runners on base.
The fact that Brookstone grouped all of its runs into the third inning helped it take advantage of its hits.
Brookstone 's Jarrod Little kept Schley County off the scoreboard for all five innings he was on the bump. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up six.
Leeder was charged with the loss. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed one run.
Brookstone scored its only run of the game on an RBI single by Hunter Greenin the third inning.
