Campbell ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked six and struck out six.
In the top of the first, Tattnall Square Academy grabbed the early lead, 3-0. A solo blast by Logan Simmons started the inning off. More runs came home for Tattnall Square Academy when DiPonzio scored on an RBI single by Austin Granger and Bartholomew scored on a sacrifice fly by Austin Marchman.
It didn't take long for Brookstone to answer as it scored three runs of its own in the first. Brookstone scored on an RBI double by Campbell, an RBI single by Daniel Amos, and a hit by pitch.
Tattnall Square Academy didn't relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the second inning when it scored on a two-run home run by Logan Simmons and an RBI single by Bartholomew.
Tattnall Square Academy added three more runs in the top of the fourth. A wild pitch scored Logan Simmons to get Tattnall Square Academy on the board in the inning.
Two runs in the bottom of the fourth helped Brookstone close its deficit to 9-5. A solo home run by Drew Webb and an RBI single by Amos triggered Brookstone's comeback. Finally, Houston got Culver Norred to strike out to end the threat.
Tattnall Square Academy built upon its lead with four runs in the sixth. A single by Bartholomew ignited the offense,, plating Logan Simmons and DiPonzio.
Brookstone scored one run in the bottom of the sixth to cut its deficit to seven. A solo home run by Campbell fueled Brookstone's comeback. Trey Lingo struck out to end the Brookstone threat.
