Despite a big day at the dish from Drew Webb, who finished 3-4, Brookstone lost 8-2 to Providence Christian Academy on Saturday.
Spratlin got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out seven, walked none and surrendered nine hits.
Spratlin, Anderson and Jacobs helped lead Providence Christian Academy. They combined for seven hits and five RBIs.
Culver Norred took the loss for Brookstone. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out one.
In the top of the first, Brookstone grabbed the early lead, 2-0. A solo home run by Webb started the inning off. The scoreboard lit up again for Brookstone when Sherrer scored on an RBI double by Preston Campbell.
After a quick strike from Brookstone, Providence Christian Academy responded with two runs in the first. Providence Christian Academy scored on an RBI single by Anderson and an RBI single by Miller.
The game's last lead went to Providence Christian Academy thanks to a second inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on a sacrifice fly by Anderson and an RBI single by Tranum.
