Three first-inning runs helped Brookstone to a 6-2 win over Miller County on Monday.
Brookstone scored in the first on an RBI single by Preston Campbell, a wild pitch, and a wild pitch.
Trey Lingo reached base four times in the game for Brookstone. He doubled in the sixth inning.
Banks Massey had an impressive outing against Miller County's lineup. Miller County managed just three hits off of the Brookstone's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked five and struck out five during his 5 2/3 innings of work.
Justin Bradford was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked seven, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the second, Miller County faced just a 3-2 deficit. An error and gave Miller County life. Dylan Johnson flew out to end the Miller County threat.
