Trey Lingo drove in the go-ahead run to give Brookstone the lead in the sixth inning, as Brookstone hung on to beat Calvary Day 4-2 on Friday.
James Sherrer went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for Brookstone. He singled in the third and fifth innings.
Culver Norred worked out of two tough situations for Brookstone. He pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs on six hits. Norred faced his toughest situation in the fifth inning.
Rudy Amaya ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
Calvary Day jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the second. Calvary Day got things going when Chance Litchfield singled. Harrison Bocook singled, plating Thomas Wells. Calvary Day added more runs when Litchfield scored on a steal of home.
Brookstone pushed across one run in both the second inning and the third. In the second, Brookstone scored on an RBI single by Webb, bringing home Sherrer.
